Additions on House, Part 2.5 – Kitchen & Bathroom

We’ve seen the exterior and interior of the first addition, and we’ve had a look at the exterior and the entryway of the second addition. This leaves us with two more rooms in the second addition: a summer kitchen and a bathroom.

Additions on House, Part 1.5 – Doors & Interior

Last time we watched the exterior progress of an addition on a house being built. Now it’s time to step inside this beautiful front door and see what happened to the interior.

But first, let’s stop and notice the wood-grain texture on this fiberglass exterior door:20180109_075707

Additions on House, Part 1 – Exterior

Most long-term homeowners have, at some point, felt that their house was just a little cramped. Some homeowners decide to do something about it. We constructed two additions for one such family on their home near Nashville, AR.

As you can see in this photo, we removed the brick and vinyl siding on the original house and replaced it with Acme® brick as well, in order to give the whole building as seamless a look as possible:DCIM100MEDIADJI_0269.JPG

Some shots of the finished addition’s exterior:20180109_07534220180109_07555420180109_075628

It’s fun to see the exterior change from dirt-work to finished, but that is something anyone who chose to drive down that road could have seen. Next week, we’ll look at something that only a few people got to see: the work done on the interior. Enter your email on the right or like our page on Facebook to be sure you don’t miss it!
