Home Addition

Does your house ever feel a bit cramped? Most of us tend to fill up all the space we have and then we find ourselves wishing for more. If your house is really too small for your needs, your things are probably difficult to find and relationships between people who live there might be under strain. You could move into a bigger house. But what if you really like the house you have now? You just wish there was more of it.

There’s a way to get that. This family chose to have an addition built, and we had the privilege of helping them to enlarge their home.

First things first – the concrete is poured:

From a distance, you can see that the walls are up:

The upper part of the exterior walls was covered in Alside® vinyl siding:

While the lower section got Coronado® stone wainscoting:

The completed exterior, with Tamko® shingles on the roof:

Stepping inside, we see the main room of the addition, completed and already being enjoyed:

For the opening between the addition’s bedroom and bathroom, the owner chose a sliding barn door:

Inside the bathroom, the vanity is custom-built:

As is the linen closet:

The bathroom flower and the shower are both tile:

And while we were there anyway, we also installed and painted several new exterior doors:

What do you think? How much would your home life be improved if you had just a bit more space?

We’d be glad to sit down with you and talk about what it would take to add a room or two onto your home, but we can’t until you let us know that you’re ready for this. Give us a call at (870) 845-1121 today!

Additions on House, Part 2.5 – Kitchen & Bathroom

We’ve seen the exterior and interior of the first addition, and we’ve had a look at the exterior and the entryway of the second addition. This leaves us with two more rooms in the second addition: a summer kitchen and a bathroom.

We start off with the kitchen, drywall hung but not yet painted:Photo Dec 13, 11 12 30 AM

On the right side of the kitchen we have the washer and dryer, with storage compartments above and beneath:20180109_081952

Next to the washer and dryer, one of the drawers is a fold-out ironing board in disguise:20180109_083052

And on the left side of the kitchen we have the stove and refrigerator, gleaming stainless steel against the bold white lines of the tile backsplash:20180109_083123

Next we take a look into the bathroom, where the vanity cabinet is installed and shower built, but not yet tiled:2017-01-03 13.51.54

The gray vanity and cabinets and white marbled countertop with contrasting black handles and faucet make for a stunning bathroom:20180109_081013

And we finish with a quick look into the all-tile walk-in shower:

Beautiful rooms, aren’t they? How’s your kitchen looking? Does your bathroom have the clean, fresh feel of this one? You’ve seen what we can do in someone else’s house; would you like to see what we can do in yours? We can renovate the rooms you have, or we can build you something new. Bathroom Remodel

We did a full bathroom remodel for this gentleman near Nashville, AR.

One wall was taken up with two closets and a narrow shelf, as you can see in these before shots:

We removed one closet and the shelf to install a vanity and linen closet, as well as painting the walls and replacing the flooring. Here are the after photos:

For the shower, we removed the old one and moved the wall two feet, and then we built the new one using Marazzi tile:

After moving the shower wall over, there was enough space left on the other side for the new toilet and the cabinet above it:

We also removed the exterior door, replaced it with a Masonite door, and painted it:
